Entrepreneurs come in many shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. Clarissa Rankin, like many entrepreneurs, took a winding road to reach where she is but she believes that every step prepared her. She’s trucking in change and shining a light on female truck drivers everywhere. Learn more!

Clarissa didn’t know that she wanted to go into the trucking industry until much later in life. In school she was always into the arts and graphic design, but an unplanned pregnancy changed her trajectory.

She went to school and got her CNA and while she loved working with the elderly, she knew she was meant for more.

During that time she met her now husband and she went to school for criminology and criminal justice. She started working in the corrections field, but still things didn’t seem right. Her husband had received his CDL and when she realized how much more money he was making she began to rethink her career.

They now own a trucking company together and run loads while managing their home front. Listen as she shares her story and all the ways she’s empowering women in the field. Clarissa has a big personality and this conversation was a lot of fun. You won’t want to miss it.
